An exciting career that serves the needs of the printing industry and it gives you the opportunity to blend your talents with the latest computing technology, including pre-press working experience. Our computer laboratories for Printing and Graphic Arts (Pre-press) have a capacity of 40 students. Our teaching strategy is to always maintain classes with a limited number of students in order to ensure the quality of our training. All computing facilities include access to Internet, Email services, color laser printer, photo copier and scanner. All facilities are available. The Victory Institute of Professional Training provides fully maintained lecture rooms. Facilities and equipment are set-up, checked and maintained regularly to ensure effective and efficient operation. Students have access to all the necessary instructional and assessment facilities, materials and equipment. Training facilities include: - Fully resourced lecture rooms
- Suitable training equipment set up safely and securely
- Adequate acoustics, ventilation and lighting
- Amenities for meal breaks
- Toilet facilities
- Accessible references and resources
- Adequate and advanced PC facilities and the latest computer programs for Graphic Pre-press students
In the event of any planned relocation of the school we will notify DIAC and our students at least three weeks prior to the relocation taking place. Flexible Learning and Assessment Many different delivery modes and types of training will be offered to meet the varying needs of students. Reasonable adjustments will be made to support an individual student’s needs. All lectures include classroom teaching and hands–on practical tutorial sessions. They also include: - Small class sizes of less than 20 students
- Friendly learning environment
- Access to single user PC during the laboratory sessions for Printing Graphic Arts (Pre-Press)
- Access to authentic salon environment for Hairdressing
All subjects are assessed using a variety of methods that may include but is not limited to oral questions, written assignments, group projects, case studies, practical observation and demonstration of skills learnt. The learning support strategies used by trainers at Victory Institution of Professional Training include: - Pre-teaching technical terminology. - Demonstrating procedures. - Providing opportunities for ‘hands-on’ experience and practice. - Ensuring individual support and advice to students. - Encouraging students to work at their own pace. - Where necessary inviting students to record training session on an audiotape. - Providing written learning material and illustrations to reinforce the learning.
