The aim of this course is to allow students the opportunity to work in the hairdressing sector, and to acquire and apply competencies required for safe, effective work practices at AQF level III. 

This course has been designed to provide a balanced program of training in the practical, technical and theoretical skills and knowledge used by the Hairdressing Training Package and allied industries in order to become hair designers. Students will learn hair design and cutting, hair colouring, permanent waving, straightening, customer service, product advice and sales.

Entry Requirements

Domestic Students
Pre-requisites for entry into this course are:

  • Students must be over 18 years of age
  • Students must have completed Year 12 or the interstate equivalent

International Students
Pre-requisites for entry into this course are:

  • Students must be over 18 years of age
  • Students must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 12
  • Students must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or above and must provide documentation to that effect.
